Karen Crites Hendrickson received a doctor of education degree in instruction and curriculum leadership. While attending The University of Memphis. Hendrickson was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, a nursing honor society. She was the president of the Missouri State Board of Nursing for 1995-1996. She also received the Woman of Achievement Award in 1993 presented by the Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau. In addition, she was also named the outstanding alumna from the Barnes College Alumni Association in 1994. Hendrickson is currently employed as assistant administrator/chief nursing officer at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
