UNITYFEST '93 SET

ULLIN, Ill. --UNITYFEST '93 will be held Dec. 18 at Shawnee Community College here.

The event promotes harmonious relationships between students in the four school districts of Pulaski and Alexander counties, increases awareness of the effects of violent behavior, and provides positive alternatives to resolve conflicts. It is sponsored by the Northern Pulaski County Youth Development Committee and local businesses.

A talent show will be held from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. followed by a dance until 10:30 p.m.

The Peer Persuaders of Cairo High School will present a skit. Purple ribbons will be distributed to those who sign a moratorium-on-violence pledge as a symbol of a commitment to reduce violence.
