The United Way of Southeast Missouri has reached 95 percent of the $1,320,000 goal set for their 2007 to 2008 campaign, $200,000 more than the goal of the previous drive. In a change from last year, the United Way looked at how much money their partner agencies needed instead of how much money donors were willing to give, resulting in an increased goal...

The United Way of Southeast Missouri has reached 95 percent of the $1,320,000 goal set for their 2007 to 2008 campaign, $200,000 more than the goal of the previous drive.

In a change from last year, the United Way looked at how much money their partner agencies needed instead of how much money donors were willing to give, resulting in an increased goal.

With $64,562.62 left to raise before the goal is met, the United Way is challenging Southeast Missouri to give a little more this year to help meet the need.

Some of the incentives for donors to give a dollar more per week than last year include chances to win gas, a television, groceries or jewelry.
