United Way asks for nominations

The Area Wide United Way is accepting nominations for the 17th annual Volunteer Recognition Awards to distinguish and honor the exceptional volunteer efforts in Southeast Missouri. The nomination deadline is March 19.

Local agencies and organizations may submit nominations in four categories: Youth/ Young Adult (25 and under), Adult (26 to 59), Senior Adult (60 or older) and Group/Organization.

Individuals may nominate themselves, and individuals, agencies or organizations may submit multiple nominations.

A panel of judges will select an outstanding volunteer from each category; all nominees and winners will be recognized and awarded at a luncheon on April 20 at Drury Lodge. All nominators and nominees are encouraged to attend.
