HOLLAND, Mo. -- The Pemiscot County prosecuting attorney is reviewing an incident which resulted in gunshot injuries of two individuals early Friday.

According to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, deputies were called to a residence on Route F, just west of Holland around 2:30 a.m. Friday in response to an altercation and gunshots being fired. When deputies arrived, they learned two individuals had received injuries from the gunshots but had already left the residence. However, the suspect, whose name hasn't been released, was present at the residence and was later interviewed and questioned.

Other witnesses were interviewed, and a second person was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the altercation before the shots were fired. The two gunshot victims were treated at a hospital in Blytheville, Ark., and then transferred to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

On Saturday, both subjects arrested had been released from custody by the sheriff's department, pending a review by the prosecuting attorney.
