TAMMS, Ill. -- Two faculty members at Egyptian Community Unit School District, each with 33 years of service, will retire at the end of the school year.

Kerry Baugher and Charles W. Goforth both started work for Egyptian schools in August 1960.

Baugher began his tenure at Tamms Grade School. Over the past three decades he has served as elementary classroom teacher, physical education and driver education teacher at the high school level. Coaching assignments included head coach for high school baseball and basketball and athletic director. He also served five years as the junior-senior high school principal.

Goforth began his service at Olive Branch Grade School. His duties have included teaching junior high special education, language arts and science and serving as a Chapter I evaluator. He has held various coaching assignments, including junior high head baseball and basketball coach and high school head baseball coach. He served one year as acting superintendent and 16 years as elementary principal.
