Two suspects arrested in connection with burglary

Sheriff's deputies arrested two suspects early Thursday morning in connection with a residential burglary in Cape Girardeau County.

No charges have been filed against the suspects and no further information about them was released. The Cape Girardeau County sheriff's department is still investigating the incident, said Lt. David James.

The residents of the home gave chase to the suspects, who were later apprehended by law enforcement, he said. Seven patrol cars took part in the pursuit.

"We found property in their car, and we have some Illinois detectives coming in to help because we think they may be connected to some burglaries there," James said.
