Darren M. Allcock and Kenneth C. Pemberton Jr., both of Cape Girardeau, have been awarded Regents' scholarships and Missouri Leadership awards to attend Southeast Missouri State University during the 1992-1993 academic year.
Pemberton also received a Boy's State Leadership Award.
The Regents' Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class and who score above the 90th percentile on the ACT or SAT test. The award covers full-time fees per semester and is renewable for four years.
The Missouri Leadership Award is a one-year award designed for Missouri students who have demonstrated leadership and academic abilities.
The Boy's State Leadership Award is a $300 one-time award applied toward residence hall fees. The award is given to students who have attended Boy's State and who have an ACT composite score of 20 and a 2.5 grade point after six or seven semesters.
Allcock is the son of Michael and Ruth Ann Allcock of Cape Girardeau and will graduate this year from Cape Central High School. He plans to major in biology at Southeast.
Pemberton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth C. Pemberton Sr. of Cape Girardeau and will be a 1992 graduate of Cape Central High School. He plans to major in pre-medicine at Southeast.
