Daniel R. Hecht of Altenburg and Martha L. Carleton of Millersville have been awarded Earl G. Gramling scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University during the 1992-1993 academic year.
The scholarship is awarded to students of history, government or political science. Entering freshmen must rank in the upper 25 percentile of their graduating class and above the 75 percentile on a university admissions test. University undergraduate students must have a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Graduate students must have a 3.0 grade point average for undergraduate work and must maintain a 3.5 grade point average for eight hours of graduate study.
Hecht is the son of Robert and Charlotte Hecht of Altenburg. He plans to major in secondary education with emphasis in social studies at Southeast
Carleton plans to major in history and pre-medicine at Southeast.
