Two Southeast Missouri State University students were cited Thursday with beating up another student on campus.
The fight occurred early Thursday morning on Lot 5, off Sprigg Street near Towers Complex, according to Southeast Department of Public Safety director Doug Richards.
The victim, a man, declined medical attention and opted not to pursue charges, he said.
But because the fight occurred on campus, the two offenders, both men, were cited into the university's judicial system, according to Richards.
Officials were unclear on the cause of the altercation because both the victim and offenders gave conflicting statements, Richards said.
