ADVANCE -- A man and a woman were in serious but stable condition after a three-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Stoddard County.

Tommy Oliver, 20, and Sharon Oliver, 42, both of Puxico were at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau Thursday after the accident, which occurred at Highway 25 and Route C in Advance.

A passenger in the Oliver vehicle, Amanda Wills, 18, of Puxico, received minor injuries.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the car driven by Tommy Oliver turned from Route C into the path of a tractor-trailer truck driven by Donald Garner, 50, of Bloomfield.

Garner's southbound vehicle pushed the Oliver vehicle into a northbound tractor-trailer driven by Jon Brown, 25, of McGee.

Neither truck driver was injured.
