Two Cape Girardeau men pleaded guilty in federal court this week to selling crack cocaine, the U.S. attorney's office said.
The men, Orlandues Jermaine Sheron, 23, and Willie Lee Harris, 46, appeared before U.S. District Judge Richard Webber for unrelated crimes.
Harris admitted to selling 2.3 grams of crack cocaine for $300 to an informant for the Drug Enforcement Agency in April 2000. The sale took place in the 200 block of North Fountain, U.S. assistant prosecutor Larry Ferrell said.
Harris faces a maximum punishment of 20 years in prison.
Sheron told the judge he had sold 10.4 grams of crack cocaine to an informant in January. Since Sheron had been convicted on two other drug charges in Scott County in 1996, he faces a maximum punishment of life in prison when he is sentenced, along with Harris, on Sept. 24.
