DEXTER, Mo. -- Two people were arrested on suspicion of illegal drug activity last week, the Daily Statesman reported. As the result of a traffic stop June 24, Stoddard County deputies found two baggies containing crystal methamphetamine and arrested the driver, Tom A. McCoy Jr., 58, of Dexter. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Also that day, Stoddard County deputy Garry Brady secured a search warrant for a residence at 910 W. St. Francis St. in Dexter. When the warrant was executed, deputies found syringes, scales, methamphetamine, a methamphetamine pipe and various other items used in the use and distribution of a controlled substance. They arrested Gary Lee Lane, 53. He faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
