Two people are in custody after an armed robbery Saturday afternoon in downtown Cape Girardeau.
Sumner Kyle Foster, 19, and Tarrington Lareese Marks, 20, both of Cape Girardeau, are charged with robbery and armed criminal action, with bond set at $50,000 cash only for each, according to reports. Foster is a former resident of Charleston, Missouri, and Marks is formerly of Sikeston, Missouri.
Cape Girardeau Police Sgt. Rick Schmidt said police responded to a reported robbery near the intersection of Independence and Main streets.
Upon arrival, police pursued two men seen running west on Broadway from Main Street but lost sight of them.
