POPLAR BLUFF -- Two Poplar Bluff residents were killed in a traffic accident Tuesday.
Roy Moore, 26, and Freddie Moore, 29, were killed when their 1988 Chevy Beretta crossed lanes and struck a 1990 GMC pickup head-on, said the Missouri State Highway Patrol officer. Neither man was wearing seat belts.
The accident occurred at 10:45 p.m. near the Ripley County line on U.S. 160.
The five people in the truck remained in Doctors Hospital in Poplar Bluff Wednesday night.
Hospitalized were the truck's driver, Roy Gowins, 35, of Poplar Bluff, and passengers Patricia Gowins, 35, Holly Gowins, 18, Ross Gowins, 10, and Angela Gowins, 13.
