SIKESTON, Mo. -- According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter, two Sikeston-area men are in jail on methamphetamine-related charges. Donald W. Freeman, 39, and Dean S. Robinson, 46, have both been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and manufacturing a controlled substance. Bond is set at $50,000 on Robinson and $5,000 on Freeman. Deputies received information that methamphetamine was being manufactured at a rural residence north of Sikeston. Upon investigating Monday morning, they discovered a working methamphetamine laboratory. Freeman and Robinson were both at the residence and were taken in to custody. The residence was searched after officers obtained a search warrant, and the lab was dismantled by deputies trained in handling methamphetamine labs.
