A Whitewater woman and a Millersville man were severely injured Saturday during a car accident on Highway 72, three miles west of Jackson, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash reports Web page. Carsten, 22, of Whitewater and Joshua Patterson, 23, of Millersville were injured when a car driven by Carsten in which Patterson was a passenger struck another car, driven by a 16-year-old Jackson boy. ...

A Whitewater woman and a Millersville man were severely injured Saturday during a car accident on Highway 72, three miles west of Jackson, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash reports Web page. Katheryn F. Carsten, 22, of Whitewater and Joshua Patterson, 23, of Millersville were injured when a car driven by Carsten in which Patterson was a passenger struck another car, driven by a 16-year-old Jackson boy. The other driver failed to yield to Carsten's vehicle when making a left turn. Carsten was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center, and Patterson was taken to the same hospital by helicopter. Citations are pending, according to the highway patrol Web site.
