The Missouri Lottery on Friday said two local stores, Huck's Food Store in Cape Girardeau and Country Mart in Jackson, sold more than $1 million in lottery products each in 2012, providing more than $500,000 for education in the state.
According to a Missouri Lottery news release, both stores were inducted into the Missouri Lottery's Million Dollar Club for selling more than $1 million in lottery products last year. The lottery sales at Huck's Food Store generated more than $263,000 for public education and sales at Country Mart produced more than $261,000, the release said.
The Missouri Lottery hosted customer-appreciation events at both stores Friday.
