TWO KILLED IN VEHICLE CRASH

PIEDMONT -- Two people from Piedmont were killed in a one-car accident Saturday afternoon on Route V, 12 miles southeast of Piedmont.

Killed were Christina Salsman, 18, and Ariel Salsman, 2, both of Piedmont, said the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Both were ejected from the car when the driver, Albert Salsman, 20, lost control on a curve and ran off the road, went down an embankment, struck a tree and overturned, the patrol said.

Officers said the driver and a passenger, Christopher Salsman, 41, both received minor injuries and were treated at Doctor's Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
