DUDLEY -- Two people were killed and four others seriously injured in an accident Thursday, the state Highway Patrol said.
The wreck occurred at approximately 4:48 p.m., about half a mile south of Dudley on Route TT. Marylin Hill, 47, of Dexter was driving her 1990 Oldsmobile north on the two-lane road when she lost control. Her car swerved into the path of a southbound 1987 Dodge driven by Jeffrey Harty, 32, of Wappapello.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Each of the cars had two passengers who were seriously injured. Riding with Harty were his wife, Lora, 29, and Barbara Giraudo, 46, of Puxico. Both were taken by ambulance to Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
In Hill's car, passengers Debralee Ford, 23, and Mikayla Ford, 2, both of Puxico, were flown by helicopter to St. Francis Medical Center.
