BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Two people are dead after a two-car accident in Stoddard County, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of the car in which the victims were riding.

Dianne Conner, 33, of Bloomfield, and Kenneth Sitz, 55, of Essex, Mo., were riding in a vehicle that was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Route E at about 9:20 p.m. Friday night when the vehicle collided with an eastbound truck, the patrol said.

Conner and Sitz were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle in which Conner and Sitz were riding fled the scene and has not yet been found, the patrol said.
