Jackson police arrested two men this week in connection with a rash of burglaries in Jackson the past few months. Eric J. Brashear, 17, and Seth W. Pulliam, 20, both of Jackson, were arrested Wednesday and charged with multiple counts of theft-related offenses.
Brashear faces three counts of theft, and Pulliam was charged with one count of burglary, three counts of theft and one count of theft of a firearm.
According to a probable-cause statement by Lt. Rodney Barnes of the Jackson Police Department, Pulliam admitted Tuesday his involvement in a series of thefts that had been reported June 1.
During the interview with police, Pulliam also named other individuals who had allegedly been involved in the thefts.
He provided information to police leading to the recovery of a firearm reported stolen during one of the burglaries.
Among the items reported stolen were beer, a flashlight, cell phones, a camera, a Ruger pistol, iPod, sunglasses, CDs, jewelry, ATM cards and a GPS unit.
The method used in the thefts involved breaking into the garage of a residence, and usually the vehicle was broken into, Barnes said.
A third person will likely be arrested in connection with the incidents, Barnes said.
Bond for Brashear was set at $5,000 cash or surety. A $20,000 cash or surety bond was set for Pulliam.
