Two injured in weekend accident
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a wreck that occurred over the weekend on Interstate 55 near Jackson, and left two injured. The accident involved a 1996 Ford, driven by Kenneth M. The car was traveling northbound on the Interstate when it swerved off the road and struck an embankment about a mile north of Jackson, around 11 a.m. Sunday.
Two occupants of the vehicle, Gertrude McKinney, 50, and Barber Latham, 10, both of Holly Springs, were injured in the accident and transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center.
