SIKESTON, Mo. — An armed robbery Sunday night that left two injured remains under investigation, the Sikeston Standard Democrat reported. According to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, a call was received at 8:43 p.m. Sunday in regard to an incident at 504 Lanning St. A robbery was reported, in addition to subjects lying on the floor. When officers arrived on the scene, they found two subjects were injured after being struck in the head by a pistol. No shots were fired. An undisclosed amount of cash was reported stolen. One subject is in custody, according to department officials, awaiting formal charges to be filed by the Scott County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
