A Sedgewickville, Mo., man and a Sikeston, Mo., woman received moderate injuries in separate accidents in the region Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Randy Jones, 40, of Sedgewickville was taken to St. Francis Medical Center after the 7 p.m. accident Tuesday on County Road 228, two miles east of Sedgewickville.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Jones lost control of his vehicle on gravel and it ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
Crystal Banks, 23, of Sikeston was taken to Missouri Delta Hospital in Sikeston after an accident at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 114, three miles east of Grayridge, Mo.
The driver of the other vehicle, Orther Burch, 83, of Matthews, Mo., was not injured.
The patrol said the accident occurred as Banks' attempted to pass the Burch vehicle as Burch was making a left turn. Banks' vehicle struck the Burch vehicle, hit an embankment and overturned, the patrol said.
