Two people suffered moderate injuries in separate accidents Thursday and Friday in the Missouri Highway Patrol's Troop E District of Southeast Missouri.

Kimberly E. Nicholson, 37, of Advance was taken to St. Francis Medical Center after her vehicle ran off the road and overturned Thursday morning near Zalma. The accident occurred at 9:50 a.m. on Highway 51, two miles south of Zalma.

The other accident occurred at 2 p.m. Friday on Highway 25, three miles south of Malden. Denise L. Bean, 30, of Dexter was taken to Dexter Memorial Hospital. Her passenger, Marissa Leibowitz, 4, of Dexter was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.

According to the Highway Patrol, Bean's vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned several times.
