Two Poplar Bluff, Missouri, men made their initial appearancees in federal court Wednesday in Cape Girardeau after a grand jury recently indicted them.
Danny Ray Reed Sr., 57, of the 800 block of Kinzer Street, and Jeremy Robert Paul Ellis, 36, of the 300 block of West Neat Street, were arrested Tuesday afternoon at their homes by members of several law enforcement agencies.
Reed is accused of being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Ellis was indicted for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Both are to be arraigned Friday in U.S. District Court.
