SIKESTON, Mo. -- Two people were injured as shots were fired into a car Saturday afternoon, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety reported. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Two people were injured as shots were fired into a car Saturday afternoon, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety reported.

Sometime after 12 p.m. a vehicle was stopped in the 100 block of Cardinal Street by one person, while another took several shots at the vehicle. The two victims in the car were struck in the arms and legs, and taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center for treatment, police said.

One person has been arrested, and the second is being sought, police said.
