JACKSON -- A two-car accident on Kingshighway in Jackson Saturday evening sent two people to St. Francis Medical Center, but Jackson police would not release the names of the victims Sunday evening.

A 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora heading south on Wedekind Road failed to yield and tried to cross Kingshighway at 6:05 p.m. A 1978 Buick LeSabre struck it and pushed it onto the side of the road, said Sgt. Chris Mouser of the Jackson Police Department.

Cape County Private Ambulance Service took one passenger from the Aurora and the driver of the Buick to St. Francis Medical Center. Mouser said one of those injured had head injuries and was in intensive care.
