Two Scott City residents were being held in the county jail on $100,000 cash-only bonds Thursday after authorities served a search warrant on their home. Police took into custody Calvin Rayford, 55, and Kimberly Counts, 32, after a drug investigation led authorities to seek a search warrant for their home about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Scott City Sgt. Jordan Bain said. Both are charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Counts is charged with manufacture of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 2,000 feet of a school. Rayford is charged with manufacture of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Officers found a methamphetamine lab in the home, Bain said.
