Two former students of Cape Girardeau Central High School have been named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of their achievement on college-level Advance Placement examinations.
Yung H. Park and Andrew C. Trueblood qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP examinations with grades of 3 or higher.
About 10 percent of America's graduating seniors have taken one or more AP examinations. About 12 percent of the more than 459,000 students who took the tests in May performed at a sufficiently high level to merit the recognition.
