TWO CENTRAL STUDENTS GET `I DARE YOU' AWARDS

Mandi McCoy and Takara Stanley have been awarded the national "I Dare You Leadership Award" in recognition of personal integrity, balanced living and potential for leadership.

The honor will be presented by counselor Jerry Witvoet at ceremonies to be held at Cape Girardeau Central High School May 26.

The "I Dare You Leadership Award" is made available each year by the American Youth Foundation in cooperation with principals and 4-H county agents across the country.

The students receive a scholarship opportunity to attend the American Youth Foundation's National Leadership Conference in Michigan or in New Hampshire. Over 8,000 schools and 4-H programs participate in the program each year.
