Chris Kasten and Cassandra Krauss, both of Cape Girardeau, have been awarded Regents' Scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University during the 1994-1995 academic year.
The scholarship is awarded high school seniors who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class and who have achieved an ACT score of 28 or SAT score of 1160. Regents' scholarships also are awarded to class valedictorians or salutatorians who have achieved an ACT score of 25 or SAT score of 1160. The award covers full-time fees per semester and is renewable for four years if the recipient maintains a 3.5 grade point average.
Kasten, the son of Robert and Brenda Kasten, is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School. He plans to major in accounting at Southeast.
Krauss, the daughter of Orville and Delores Krauss, is a senior at Central High School.
