The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 2000 Chrysler Concord driven by Stacy R. Tucker, 17, of Benton, Mo., was traveling eastbound on Route C and failed to stop where the road intersected with Route H. The Concord then struck a 2005 Ford Escape in the side around 7:45 a.m.

The driver of the Concord, Katina R. Britton, 37, of Sikeston, Mo., and two teenage passengers were taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center, where they were treated for moderate injuries. Tucker did not sustain any injuries. All four involved in the accident were wearing their seat belt, the highway patrol said.
