A Cape Girardeau man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison Monday for selling crack cocaine to an informant. Darrell Wiseman, 27, appeared before U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey. On Oct. 30, 2008, Wiseman sold 6.9 grams of crack cocaine to the informant, according to a news release issued by acting federal prosecutor Michael Reap.

A Cape Girardeau man will spend more than 15 years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Floyd G. Wiseman, 45, was sentenced to 188 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey. On Nov. 10, 2008, Wiseman was a passenger in a car that was stopped by a Cape Girardeau police officer for a traffic violation, acting federal prosecutor Michael Reap said in a news release. A pipe used for smoking crack cocaine was found in his pocket during a search. After his arrest, officers found a 9 mm pistol and a package of crack cocaine under the seat where Wiseman was sitting. Wiseman admitted to officers that both the gun and crack were his, Reap said.

Man pleads guilty to cocaine charge

A Cape Girardeau man pleaded guilty to selling crack cocaine Monday in federal court. Eric Harris, 30, appeared before U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey and admitted that on March 16 he sold 3.3 grams of cocaine base, also known as crack, to a confidential informant for $350. The transaction was recorded. Harris faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, ating federal prosecutor Michael Reap announced in a news release. Sentencing was set for Jan. 19, 2010.
