Works by Sarah Riley, new chairwoman of the Department of Art at Southeast Missouri State University, will be among those in the exhibit of faculty artwork on display at the University Museum through November.
A reception for the 10 artists will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at the museum. The media on display will include painting, graphic design, printmaking, sculpture, fiber, photography, computer prints and ceramics.
Riley came to Southeast after serving as chair of the art department at Stephens College in Columbia. Her work on display will consist of large mixed-media paintings.
The exhibit is sponsored by Chuck McGinty, a Cape Girardeau jeweler, businessman, artist and alumnus of the Southeast art department.
Admission is free. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Special tours can be arranged by calling 651-2260.
The museum is in the Memorial Hall on Circle Drive off Pacific Street at the university.

Sikeston artist Ann Schuchart's watercolor exhibit "Local Locations" will be on display at Gallery 100 during November.
An opening reception for the artist will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gallery, 1707 Mount Auburn Road.
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Schuchart became interested in transparent watercolor painting while taking a class from Jake Wells at Southeast Missouri State University.
Her subjects range from florals and landscapes to children's portraits and portraits of homes and historic buildings.
Her studio is at the farm in Sikeston she shares with her husband, Emil, and their five children.
Her paintings also can be seen at the Loft Art Gallery in Sikeston.
Her work has received awards in local, regional and national juried shows, including Art Experience '90, Midwest Minis '93, Southeast Missouri Regional '93 and '94, and the Kansas Watercolor Society's Five-State Exhibit in 1992.
