BERNIE, Mo. — As the result of an ongoing investigation by the Bernie Police Department, Shirley Jones, 40, of Malden, and Sharon Rampley, 55, of Bloomfield, were arrested earlier this month, and charged with Class B felonies of distribution of a controlled substance, a Class B felony of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and a Class C felony of possession of a controlled substance.
During the course of this investigation, the Bernie Police Department worked with a confidential informant who was sent to purchase crack cocaine from Jones and Rampley, according to Bernie Police Chief Justin Allen.
"This confidential informant was able to purchase an undisclosed amount of crack cocaine from Jones and Rampley on Town and Country [supermarket] parking lot," said Allen
The police department arrested both Jones and Rampley and was able to secure warrants on both subjects through the Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, with bonds for both subjects set at $75,000 cash-only.
