Two accidents injured four people in Cape Girardeau County over the weekend, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
An accident at 12:45 p.m. Saturday on County Road 335 west of Jackson injured Britanie Randol, 21, of Jackson, her 2-year-old daughter Addison and 1-year-old son Isaiah.
All three were taken by ambulance to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, the patrol said.
The accident occurred as an eastbound car driven by Casey Nicholas, 18, of Jackson made a left turn in front of Randol's westbound car. Randol's car then struck the eastbound vehicle.
The patrol issued a traffic citation to Nicholas.
A one-car accident at 7:15 p.m. Friday injured a passenger in the vehicle, Jessie Denton, 47, of Marble Hill, Mo. He was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Denton's sister, Rebecca Williams, 47, of Burfordville was driving the car when the accident happened, the patrol said.
The accident occurred on Route UU, west of Burfordville.
