Christmas for the Elderly

Miss P. lives in a dilapidated trailer and has trouble paying her rent and gas bill each month. Freezing pipes are a constant problem for her in the winter. She has several health problems, including diabetes and a degenerative disc disorder. She would like several things from the Christmas for the Elderly program: underclothes in size medium and socks, a winter coat in size large, bed linens for a full-size mattress, blankets and sweatsuits in size medium.

Miss Q. has no other family now that her brother passed away, so this will be a lonely holiday for her. She has osteoarthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure and hepatitis C. Her Christmas requests are for new beige curtains and flannel pajamas in size small.

Donations can be dropped off at the Southeast Missourian offices. Tax-deductible monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 4, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63702-0004.
