Jim Tweedy of Cape Girardeau has been appointed to the University of Missouri-Columbia college of agriculture, food and natural resources alumni board of directors.
The alumni board supports the university by helping with student recruitment, sponsoring scholarships, assisting with student placement and providing direct feedback to college faculty and administrators.
The 30-member board was formed in 1962 and meets four times a year.
Tweedy graduated in 1987 from the university with a degree in agriculture, economics and law. He is an attorney for Oliver, Oliver, Waltz and Cook.
