The Cape Girardeau Public Library, in cooperation with the Missouri State Library, will hold three tutor enrichment programs this month.
From 10 to noon Friday, Debbie Dumey and Diane Newett will present a workshop for anyone interested in tutoring programs for students who don't speak English. The workshop's content will depend on members of the audience.
On Sept. 28, two programs will be offered. From 10 to noon, Rosilee Trotta will present a learning styles workshop. She will look at learning styles of each participant and discuss how knowing such information affects teacher-student and personal relationships.
From 1-3 p.m., Jo Ciolli will present a program on learning disabilities and their characteristics. Participants will learn educational strategies to effectively teach students with such disabilities.
Registration may be done in person or by phone to library's reference desk.
These programs are made possible through a Library Services and Construction Act grant.
