Tuesday night accident fatal for Scott City woman

KELSO, Mo. -- A single-vehicle accident on Route PP Tuesday evening proved fatal for a Scott City woman.

Beth R. Harper, 50, was driving her 2006 Chevrolet eastbound on Route PP two miles east of Kelso around 7 p.m. The Chevrolet ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.

Scott County coroner Scott Amick pronounced Harper dead at the scene at 7:11 p.m. Harper was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
