JACKSON -- American Legion Post 158 has selected Music Students of the Month for September, October and November. The program is run by the Americanism Committee of the post and recognizes outstanding music students from Jackson High School. Each student receives a $100 savings bond.

Brian Probst, son of Dan and Darlene Barks, was selected for September. He has been a member of the chamber choir for three years, the marching band for two and the concert band for three. He has competed in the district music contest for two years and has been a member of the 1994 and 1995 All-District Choir. He is a member of the 1996 All-State Choir and is involved with the Christian Youth Dance Club.

He plans to attend college, pursuing a career in music.

Emily Reisenbichler, daughter of Randall and Patty Reisenbichler, was selected for October. She is a drum majorette in the marching band, but also is a member of SADD, Pep Club, French Club, Just Say No and Girl Scouts. Upon graduation, she plans to attend the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Adrian True, son of Dale and Faith True, is Music Student of the Month for November. He is an officer in the Choir Council and sings in the chamber choir. He was in All-District Choir for three years and All-State Choir for one year. True is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and attends First Baptist Church, where he is in the church choir and youth Bible study.

True plans to attend college and pursue a career in music.
