The Trans-Siberian Orchestra's holiday tour is coming back to the Show Me Center next month, bringing the band's unique blend of power-chord rock, classical flavor and mind-blowing pyrotechnics to Cape Girardeau for the third straight year.

"They've been very happy with the response they've had in Cape Girardeau," said Shannon Buford, marketing director at the Show Me Center.

"I know the band's management is very pleased with what they've seen in this market."

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for the Nov. 15 show, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the Show Me Center ticket office, at all Ticketmaster outlets and online at www.showmecenter.biz. Tickets can be charged by phone at 651-5000.

Tickets will cost $36 and $46 apiece, for upper and lower levels respectively, Buford said.

Show Me Center management wanted to bring TSO back since the performance last year, which nearly sold out, Buford said. The show has proven to be one of the largest events of the year for the center, he said.

"I believe they really do reach so many different audiences," Buford said. "It's classic rock blended with Christmas favorites. And the light show is fantastic."

Buford saw the show for the first time last year and said he honestly was amazed.

"It was like being thunder-struck," he said. "It was beautiful. And the light show -- it's one of the best light shows I've seen."

Organizers promise that new elements will be added to this year's production, "which already includes an orchestral string section, a full rock band, multiple vocalists, a narrator, extensive pyrotechnics, a stunning laser- and light show and even a snowfall," a news release said.

The group -- which will once again break into two touring units -- has lined up an eight-week, 117-show arena tour. TSO will also be at St. Louis' Savvis Center for two shows on Dec. 27.
