KIRKSVILLE, Mo. (AP) -- The president of Truman State University will make another year's salary after she resigns her post by working as a consultant.
Barbara Dixon's resignation, announced Tuesday over disagreement on goals and expectations for the future, takes effect Oct. 15. But the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports she'll make $205,000 -- the same amount as her annual salary -- as a consultant to the Board of Governors.
The severance agreement also includes another $10,000 for Dixon in deferred compensation if the board deems her work as consultant satisfactory at the end of the year.
Truman State is located in Kirksville. It has about 5,800 students.
