BENTON - An Oklahoma truck driver was injured Friday night when the semi-truck he was driving ran off I-55, two miles north of the Benton interchange in Scott County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said Robert Dirden, 45, of Moore, Okla., was taken to the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with moderate injuries.
Investigators said an unknown vehicle apparently darted out into the path of the semi-truck causing the driver to swerve to avoid a collision.
The accident occurred at about 11:15 p.m.
