CAIRO, Ill. -- A crash involving two trucks has closed the Ohio River bridge at Cairo, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported.
Just after 5 p.m. a news release indicated the bridge would likely be closed for at least two hours, but probably more. According to the release, reports indicate two trucks collided. One made it across the bridge into Illinois, and the other may be partially overturned at the bridge approach on the Kentucky side.
Motorists should seek an alternate route.
The bridge carries about 5,500 vehicles per day.
