The event will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, but the time is subject to change. The event will include performances by the Delta Queen Band and singers, calliope music, a presentation of thanks for the city's hospitality and a presentation on the boat's history and attempts to obtain an exemption from federal law to allow it to operate.

The Delta Queen has been cruising the Mississippi and other major rivers under an exemption to maritime laws banning overnight excursion boats with wooden superstructures. Attempts to extend the exemption have failed in Congress.
