NEOSHO, Mo. -- A man accused of killing three people in a southwest Missouri church is set to go on trial in June.
A judge in Neosho scheduled the June 23 trial date at a hearing Monday, according to electronic court records. The judge has not issued a decision on a defense motion for a change of venue.
Eiken Elam Saimon, 52, of Neosho is charged with three counts of murder, four counts of assault and one count each of felonious restraint and armed criminal action. The charges stem from an Aug. 12 shooting rampage inside a Neosho church.
Saimon and his victims were members of a local South Pacific immigrant community from Micronesia.
