The man accused of murder after he allegedly gave drugs to a woman found dead in a Perryville, Mo., hotel room in June will stand trial this summer.

Perry County Prosecuting Attorney Thomas L. Hoeh alleges Steven A. Harbour, 25, of Fredericktown, Mo., supplied Nicole Jones, 20, of Perryville, with a deadly cocktail of painkillers, antidepressants and alcohol June 25. Harbour pleaded not guilty in October.

Almost a year after the alleged murder, Harbour will plead his case to a jury June 27 in Cape Girardeau County Circuit Court, according to online court records. In November, Harbour was granted a motion for change of venue to the Cape Girardeau County Circuit Court in Jackson. His court proceedings had previously taken place in the Perry County Courthouse.

Harbour remains in custody on a $500,000 cash-only bond.

When first questioned by police at the scene, Harbour told officers his drugs were locked up in the hotel room's safe, according to court records. He said he wasn't in the room all the time but his key was in the room, so it was possible someone had gotten to his pills.

Harbour told police that he gave Jones three oxycodone, three clonazepam and three amitriptyline, according to court records. Harbour also told police he bought alcohol that Jones and another underage girl consumed.

Harbour is charged with second-degree murder and three counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. He will be in court for a pretrial conference May 29.
